The coverage area of BANELCO consists of three municipalities with a total of 49 barangays, including nine-island barangays with a total potential house connection of 34,158. As early as January 1993, all barangays in the mainland (40) have already been energized. In 2001, six island-barangays were energized, and in February, 2003 one island-barangay was also energized.
